Mr. Bilhartz’s dedication to public education and civic responsibility extended beyond the school board. Under his guidance as a founder and past president, the foundation grew into a vital source of alternative funding for Duncanville schools. In recognition of their contributions, Jim and Mary Bilhartz were honored at the Champions Black Tie and Boots Ball in February 2002 for their leadership in bringing the Education Foundation to fruition and their lasting impact on the Duncanville community.
